The Cogent Diamond Hydride 2.o HPLC Columns are made with Cogent TYPE-C™ Silica. This smaller than standard particle size is a silica hydride-based stationary phase that provides increased efficiency, excellent selectivity, and faster equilibration. Considered “Near UHPLC,” this column can be used on any HPLC instrument while still delivering improved efficiency.
It is chosen for the analysis of polar compounds that are difficult to retain in Reversed Phase, including polar and non-polar peptides, amino acids, and other biological compounds such as metabolites. When used in Aqueous Normal Phase, this column is considered Mass Spec friendly.
NOTE: This short and narrow bore column provides short run times but requires a pump that can precisely deliver reduced flow rates and a flow cell designed for lower volumes. This column size is excellent and a favorite for LCMS.
