Gas Tight, polymeric tubing 1/8'' x 1.65 mm ID. 1 Meter supplied in continuous length. ARE-Applied Research brand.

Additional Info:

The image shows a cut away drawing of the gas tight tubing that has PVDF outer tubing and PTFE inner tubing that are fused together. To ensure that solvents do not come in contact with the PVDF and that there is no leak from the connection, the Kel-F insert shown on the left, slips into the ID of the PTFE tubing. The polypropylene ferrules and flange free low-pressure nut create a leak free, gas tight seal.

Gas tight tubing and accessories provide the perfect alternative for the transportation of degassed solvents or water, or other lab uses. These gas tight tubes consist of two different layers of tubing with the inside made of PTFE, which is chemically stable and high purity. However, PTFE has micro pores and gas such as CO2 can be re-introduced your solvents. To make this tubing gas tight, an outer layer of tubing made of non-porous PVDF which is chemically resistant and stable to many solvents used in chromatography. The outer layer will prevent gas from entering or leaving the mobile phase.

Use the gas tight PP fittings kit (sold separately) to make the perfect connection with your gas tight tubing that includes Kel-F inserts.
